Why become a member of Candlebark Community Nursery Inc?

Candlebark Community Nursery Inc. is a not-for-profit, incorporated association that was first registered on 11 November 1994. For more than 30 years now, our nursery has grown and provided more than a million local native plants to help conserve and enhance local biodiversity. We specifically grow plants indigenous to Melbourne’s outer east, including the Dandenongs, Yarra Ranges, Maroondah, Manningham and surrounding municipalities.

At our 29th Annual General Meeting in November 2024, the membership adopted a new set of Rules of Association. These rules include a detailed description of our purposes, which guide our day-to-day activities.

Run by volunteers for the benefit of the broader community, we rely on our membership to support us in achieving our environmental and social objectives. To help us do this more effectively, we are currently applying for registration as a charity.
